Stress Management for the Professional: Building Resiliency through Self-Care (Full-Day)

Course Objectives:

  • Understand the importance of self-care as stress management and its impact in your personal and professional life
  • Comprehensive discussion regarding multiple aspects of self-care
  • Utilization of a variety of self-assessment tools to create awareness regarding self-care needs
  • Create personal self-care strategy ready for implementation
  • Learn/experience mindfulness-based stress reduction tools to increase resiliency

Stress Management for the Professional:  Building Resiliency through Self-Care (Half-Day)

Course Objectives:

  • Understand the importance of self-care and its impact in your personal and professional life
  • Comprehensive discussion regarding multiple aspects of self-care
  • Utilize self-assessment tool to identify areas where participant can improve self-care
  • Learn/experience mindfulness-based stress reduction tools to increase resiliency

Introductory Presentation of Self-Care for the Professional:  1 to 1.5 Hour (ideal for conference or lunch meeting)

Course Summary:

  • Understand the importance of self-care as stress management and its impact in your personal and professional life
  • An overview of self-care techniques is discussed
  • Attendees have the option of participation in a rejuvenating guided meditation (in the 1.5 hour course)

Introduction to  Mindfulness Meditation:  2 or 3 Hour 

Course Summary:

  • Learn the basics of mindfulness meditation:  What it is, how to do it and why it is beneficial
  • Practice mindfulness meditation with several experiential exercises
  • Suggestions for how to begin a meditation practice will be offered

Mindfulness Meditation Retreat:  4,5 or 6 Hour

Course Summary:

  • Learn the basics of mindfulness meditation:  What it is, how to do it and why it is beneficial
  • Suggestions for how to begin a meditation practice will be offered
  • Participate in multiple mindfulness meditation exercises intended to cultivate relaxation, mind-body connection, clarity, awareness and introspection
  • Meditations include breathwork, guided imagery, gentle movement, awareness and healing exercises
